Register now - places are limited!

Billions of investments are flowing into the booming Lusatia region, with a multitude of projects in planning. The local economy is expected to benefit significantly. On 13 November 2025, contracting authorities will present nearly 400 planned procurements for 2026 in Cottbus and the Spree-Neisse district. Interested companies can find out about upcoming participation opportunities at the Cottbus World Mirror. Under the motto „A blockbuster experience“, the conference will take place in the historic movie theater World Mirror Cottbus. There, companies will experience a compact, engaging pitch mode: maximum input with minimal time investment. Participants will gain a broad overview of current and upcoming tenders in the shortest time possible.

Transparency in Procurement for Public Contracts

Another highlight is the information session by the Brandenburg Contract Advisory Centre e.V. on the current regulations regarding the procurement threshold that will apply from 2025. Participants will receive guidance on new legal frameworks – practical and comprehensible information. Petra Bachmann from the Contract Advisory Centre announces that she will „clarify all uncertainties regarding the new regulations and explain their relevance to the internal market“ and will, of course, be available for questions alongside her keynote speech.

Added Value for Companies

  • Interested companies benefit from the procurement conference through a compact overview of the diverse contract opportunities in the region and direct contact with contracting authorities and clients.
  • In this regard, the district administrator of Spree-Neisse, Harald Altekrüger, affirms: „The procurement conference impressively demonstrates what is possible when we think about the region together.“
  • Dr. Markus Niggemann, treasurer of the city of Cottbus/Chóśebuz, summarises the strengths of the format: „With the second procurement conference, we are sending an important signal for transparency and regional economic strength."
  • Tim Berndt, managing director of EGC, emphasises: „I recommend our esteemed Lusatian companies to register for participation early. Important foundations for the business year 2026 can be laid here.“

Exchange and Networking in a Relaxed Atmosphere

Catering and small mental breaks will be provided on 13 November – so that participants can optimally absorb the wealth of information and subsequently utilise it for their business.

The 2nd Procurement Conference Cottbus & SPN is an event of EGC Economic Development Cottbus & Partners IHK Cottbus, Economic Development Agency Brandenburg, and HWK Cottbus.
