MinGenTec stands for the future-oriented transformation of Lusatia in the context of structural change.
The network initiative “Mining & Generation Technology – Made in Germany” was launched in 2017 by companies along the mining value chain, together with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Cottbus and the Brandenburg Economic Development Corporation (WFBB). Since 2020, we have been working closely with the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) and the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Dresden, branch offices in Görlitz and Zittau).
MinGenTec primarily supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and research institutions from Lusatia in opening up new business fields and markets – through innovation, internationalization, and networking.
Our practical services include the Innovation Check, innovation workshops, the Market Entry Check with individual market consulting, country workshops, as well as guided business delegation trips.
Our goal is to safeguard, further develop, and make visible the expertise that has been built up in the mining and energy industries in the region over decades. Regular networking meetings create space for exchange and cooperation, while joint trade fair appearances showcase Lusatian expertise nationally and internationally. Today, a vibrant network of more than 260 companies and research institutions has emerged, actively addressing the challenges of transformation.
MinGenTec thus contributes to strengthening Lusatia as a competence center for energy and technology – in Germany and beyond.
