Power-to-X for the transport and chemical transition
Germany aims to become climate-neutral by 2045 – it is crucial that all economic sectors transform. This is where Power-to-X (PtX) comes in: The PtX technology uses electricity ("Power") from renewable energies to produce green hydrogen and sustainable energy and basic materials ("X").
The "PtX Lab Lausitz – practical laboratory for electricity-based energy and basic materials from green hydrogen" develops the technical foundations for the market ramp-up of an environmentally friendly and sustainable production and use of Power-to-X (PtX) products based on green hydrogen.
The competence center located in Cottbus (Brandenburg) serves as a knowledge platform, a source of inspiration, and a point of contact for industry and politics, science, and the public.
The PtX Lab Lausitz is a business unit of the Future – Environment – Society (ZUG) gGmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
