Female Energy Award

The Female Energy Award powered by enviaM will be awarded for the first time this year as part of the Tech-Convent Decarbon Days (www.decarbon-days.eu) in Cottbus/Lausitz. Applications are possible until June 9, 2025 .

What is the Female Energy Award powered by enviaM?
The FEA honors women from the new federal states with special professional commitment to clean energy and industry. The award stands for innovation, commitment, and creativity and is part of the Decarbon Days 2025. It will be awarded annually from now on.

Who can win the award?
The award is aimed at women who work in the new federal states or have their professional focus here and contribute to the future of clean energy or industry with their projects, ideas, or leadership roles – regardless of whether they are founders, entrepreneurs, project managers, or innovators in a company, scientific project, or start-up.

What can be won?
Instead of any cash prize, there is a performance package in collaboration with many partners that helps to gain attention and sustainable added value.
The winner will receive:
- Prize money of 1,500 euros
- Full-page portrait in the business magazine FORUM of the Brandenburg Chambers of Commerce, circulation 50,000 copies
- Full-page portrait in the high-quality leading medium for the Lusatian change: Lausitz Magazine, circulation 10,000 copies
- Live impulse and a spot on a panel at the East German Energy Forum 2025 (in Leipzig), see https://ostdeutsches-energieforum.de/
- High-quality coaching
- Exclusive photo shoot
- Intensive accompanying media work focusing on the national business press
- Sustainable and individual award sculpture by artist Rita Grafe
Two additional finalists will each receive 500 euros in prize money and an award sculpture.

How to apply?
At https://www.decarbon-days.eu/award/ via a simple contact form. In the form, applicants answer a few short questions about their commitment and motivation. In the case of suggestions from third parties, the candidate and her impact will be presented with the answers to the questions provided by the suggesting person.

Curator and face of the award is Lucie Töpfer, an award-winning founder in the cleantech sector; partners include enviaM, pyropower, Lausitz Investor Center, and LEAG Renewables; supporters are the East German Energy Forum, Wir sind der Osten, IHK Cottbus, Lausitzer Women’s Network, and Lausitz Marketing AG.

The jury
The jury includes, in addition to Lucie Töpfer as chairwoman, representatives from the Lausitz Investor Center, LEAG Renewables, the East German Energy Forum, IHK Cottbus, the Lausitzer Women’s Network, and the Decarbon Days team. They will select three finalists from the applications, who will present themselves in the final at the Decarbon Days on June 27 in a 3-minute live pitch each. Immediately after the live pitches, the awards for the winner and the two other finalists will be awarded based on the jury's decision.

The AERO Friedrichshafen 2025, from April 9 to 11, attracted over 31,500 visitors from 81 countries.With 700 exhibitors from around the world, it is the largest aviation trade fair in Europe. MinGenTec - Mining & Generation Technology - made its debut with its own booth at the Berlin Brandenburg stand organized by the IHK Cottbus.

Happy winners in the competition "Lausitz Goes International" announced

The three winners of the competition "Lausitz Goes International," which was announced by the MinGenTec network ("Mining and Generation Technology") in the autumn, have been determined: the companies Drohnen Expertise Solutions GmbH from Finsterwalde (1st place), pyropower GmbH from Cottbus (2nd place), and CESS Clean Energy System Solutions GmbH from Berlin (3rd place) impressed the five-member jury with their concepts for tapping into foreign markets and will receive prize money totaling 30,000 euros. The awarded companies focused on markets such as Poland, Great Britain, France, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates.
