Our website uses content and services from third-party providers. These are, for example, tools for sending newsletters, analysing user behaviour, and displaying geographical maps or videos. For the services to be provided, it is stringently required that the IP address of your terminal device is transmitted to the third-party provider. Wherever possible, we have chosen a low-data protection configuration. However, we have no influence on whether the IP address may be stored. The third party providers are listed below.
Website Analysis with etracker
The IHK Cottbus collects and stores data for marketing and optimisation purposes using technology from (etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany). Map Service by Google Maps
On our website, we use Google Maps (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to display maps and to create directions. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of automatically collected data and data provided by you by Google, one of its representatives, or third parties.
For Google Maps, please see the Terms of Use at Terms of Use for Google Maps and the Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy at Google.
Google may transfer the information obtained through Google Maps to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. It cannot be ruled out that Google will associate your IP address with other Google data. It is technically possible that Google could identify at least individual users based on the data received. We have no influence on the fact that personal data and personality profiles of users of the website are processed by Google for other purposes. You have the option of easily deactivating the Google Maps service and thus preventing the transfer of data to Google.
To do this, deactivate JavaScript in your browser. However, please note that you will not be able to use the map display in this case.
Display of YouTube Videos
On our website, we have integrated videos from the provider YouTube (YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc. with headquarters at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
YouTube videos are embedded on our websites in ‘extended data protection mode’.
This ‘extended data protection mode’ ensures that YouTube does not to store any information about visitors to the respective website unless visitors watch the respective embedded video. Selecting the videos leads to a connection being established with YouTube and the DoubleClick network. Clicking on the respective video may trigger further data processing operations over which the IHK Cottbus as website operator has no influence.
If you are logged in to YouTube as a member, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the service, such as clicking on the start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your YouTube user account and other user accounts of the companies YouTube LLC and Google Inc. before using our website and deleting the corresponding cookies of these companies.

Our Social Media Services
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce does not use social media plugins, but so-called social bookmarks. These are integrated on an IHK24 website only as a link to the corresponding services. After clicking on the embedded graphic, the user is redirected to the page of the respective provider.
This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to the providers. You can recognise the providers by the marking on the box above its initial letter or logo. We provide you with the option of directly communicating with the provider via the button. Only if you click on the marked field and thereby activate it, will the provider receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our online provision.
In addition, the personal data is transmitted. We currently use the following social bookmarks: Facebook, Twitter, Xing, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Threema and Telegram.
In the case of Facebook and Xing, the respective providers in Germany state that the IP address is anonymised immediately after collection. By activating the social bookmark, your personal data is transmitted to the respective provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the USA). Since the provider collects data by way of cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies via your browser's security settings before clicking on the box (coloured light grey after disabling).
We have no influence on the data collected and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the processing and the retention periods.
We also have no information on the deletion of the collected data by the provider.
The provider stores your data as user profiles and uses these for advertising purposes, market research and/or demand-actuated design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out (also for users who are not logged in) for the display of demand-actuated advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.
You have the right to object to the compilation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you need to contact the respective provider. Through these social bookmarks, we provide you with the option of interacting with the social networks and other users, so that we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user.
The data transfer takes place regardless of whether you have an account with the provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the provider, the data we collect is directly assigned to your account with the provider. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the provider also saves this information in your user account and shares it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log out regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the button, as this will help you to avoid an assignment to your profile with the provider.
Further information on the purpose and scope of the data collection and its processing by the provider can be found in the privacy policies of these providers as communicated below.
There you will also find further information regarding your corresponding rights and available settings for the protection of your privacy.

The IHK Cottbus has no influence on the type and scope of the data processed by Twitter, the way in which it is processed and used or the transfer of this data to third parties. Nor does it have any effective means of control in this respect. By using Twitter, the user's personal data is collected, transferred, stored, disclosed, and used by Twitter Inc. and transferred to, and stored and used in, the United States, Ireland and any other country in which Twitter Inc. does business, regardless of the user's country of residence. Twitter processes the voluntarily entered data such as name and username, email address, telephone number and the contacts in the user's address book, if this is uploaded or synchronised. Twitter also evaluates the content shared by users to determine what topics they are interested in, stores and processes confidential messages that users send directly to other users and can determine their location using GPS data, information on wireless networks or via the IP address of users to send advertising and other content.
Twitter Inc. may use analysis tools such as Twitter or Google Analytics for evaluation purposes. The IHK Cottbus has no influence on the use of such tools by Twitter Inc. and has not been informed about such potential use. If tools of this kind are used by Twitter Inc. for the account of the IHK Cottbus, the IHK Cottbus has neither commissioned this nor agreed to it or otherwise supported it in any way. Nor are the data obtained during the analysis made available to us. Only certain non-personal information about tweet activity, such as the number of profile or link clicks by a particular tweet, is visible to the IHK Cottbus via its account.
Moreover, the IHK Cottbus has no means of preventing or turning off the use of such tools on its Twitter account.
Finally, Twitter also receives information, for example, when users view content, even if they have not created an account. This so-called ‘log data’ can be the IP address, the browser type, the operating system, information on the website previously accessed and the pages accessed by the user, their location, mobile phone provider, the terminal device used by the user (including device ID and application ID), the search terms used by the user and cookie information.
Twitter buttons and widgets integrated into websites and the use of cookies enable Twitter to record visits to these websites and assign them to the respective Twitter profile. This data can be used to offer content or advertising tailored to the user. Since Twitter Inc. is a non-European provider with a European branch only in Ireland, it is not bound by German data protection regulations according to its own interpretation.
This applies to, for example, the rights to information, blocking or deletion of data and the possibility to object to the use of usage data for advertising purposes.
Users have the option of restricting the processing of their own data in the general settings of their Twitter account and under the item ‘Data protection and security’. In addition, the user can restrict Twitter's access to contact and calendar data, photos, location data, etc. on mobile devices (smartphones, tablet computers) in the settings options there. However, this depends on the operating system used.

This informs Facebook that our website has been visited with the user's IP address. If the user is logged in to Facebook, they can use the ‘Share Button’ to link to the corresponding content on our website in their Facebook profile.
It is then possible for Facebook to assign the visit to our website to the Facebook account. We, as the provider of our website, are not informed by Facebook about the content of the transmitted data or the use of data.

The IHK Cottbus also processes user data. It does not itself collect any data via its Facebook account. However, the data entered by the user on Facebook, in particular the username and the content published under the account, is processed by us insofar as we may comment on or reply to users' posts, where applicable, and may compose our own posts that refer to the user’s account. The data freely published and disseminated by users on Facebook is thus included by us in our service provision and made accessible to our followers.
